Sad and Sorry.
I'm a very sore girl today.
I had my life changed about a bit Yesterday.
At 1.20pm, a lady decided to put her two kids into the back of her unregistered, uninsured Corrola, and drive on a suspended licence down Sydnam Rd (to the hospital, aparrantly).
She might have gotten away with it if she hadn't ran the red light at Livingstone Av, and been hit by Dorothy.
So, I've got bruising to my sholders, hips and torso from the seat belt, a bit of a sore neck from the impact, and strained muscles in my chest.
I sent Dorothy back to the place that fixed her up last week. - that's $1,500 that I'm never going to use, see or have again.
The surface damage is restricted to every panel they replaced, and nothing more.
The engine is fucked, cracked open the block, the gearbox is dead, and I don't know about the Chassis.
Dorothy is only insured for $6K, so I'm expecting a call telling me that she is to be written off, this afternoon.
So yeah, Sux to be me.

Just read your troubles and tried to call your mobile, but the service said you had it switched off or were out of contact range.

Vickie and I want you to know that we're thinking of you and are sending you all our best! Seems like life is delivering a few boots lately, eh? If you want talk, give us a call.

Vickie also insists you see a solicitor and take out a civil suit against this woman ASAP, if you haven't already.

I'm OK.
My insurance will cover my medical costs, and the damage to my car.
As they are uninsured, they will have to pay the lot.
She is facing gaol time for a number of things, these amougnst them.
I'm fine, I'm not out of pocket, there's no reason to sue.

Oh yeah - feel free to swear, rant or say what you like on my LJ. SOme four letter words aren't going to hurt anyone...

if they were uninsured i'm sure they can claim bankrupcy and avoid paying a cent. i'd also look, if i were you, at the victims compensation tribunal, you were the victim of a crime.
also, get a doctor to check out your injures, and get pics of them (if they arent nudie or rude), that way if this goes to court, you have pics of your injuries. Be sure your neck is ok, whiplash is a bitch

When you declaire bankruptcy the government garnishes your wages, like HECS, until the entire debt is repaid.
Apart from the bruises on my shoulder and hips, my injuries are all muscular. Honestly, I'd sport worse bruising after a game of basketball.
Saw doctor today about whiplash. The muscles in my neck have gone into a protective spasm, but she gave me meds to relax the muscles, and help with inflammation. - They are the reason I'm not at work today, I'm out of it because of them. The pain was at a manageable level on a normal dose of Neurofen. She isn't worried at the moment about my injuries, but if they are still as sore in a week, I've got to go back.
She checked out the chest pain, and showed me that it was pressure from the belt that caused it, not pulled muscle like I thought... She checked to see if my lungs had pulled away from the chest wall (which can happen), and it's fine.

I will come and see you next week, the inflammation will have died down by then, and that is when I can start work....
